I haven’t blogged since I was living in England with two very small children and had just published my first book through the new Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) platform. Everything was shiny, new, and exciting! Since then, I’ve moved back to the US, published over 140 books, and my two children are legally adults and off to college. Guess what? Everything is still shiny, new, and exciting!

I’m currently in the UK as part of our annual summer pilgrimage, as well as for my first book signing at London RARE. (If you’re there, come and see me!) In the meantime, I’ve sent off my first-ever contemporary romantic comedy to the editor. Nerdplay is scheduled for an October 2nd release and I’m thrilled that Simon Maverick has picked up the audio rights. My next WIP is a cozy fantasy called The House of Many Doors, and I’ll be diving into that book as soon as I return from this trip. I’m soaking up as much inspiration I can get, especially when I travel to Wales and Portugal later this month. If I feel good when I’m writing these stories then I can rest assured that readers will feel good when immersed in the worlds I’ve created. We all need to escape every now and then, and feel a bit lighter than we did the day before. That’s what I endeavor to offer every time a reader picks up one of my books.
